In which, civil war erupts in Sudan, India appears ready to shock the global economy, and those secret Chinese police stations are back.
Sudan sinks into civil war
Civil war threatens to engulf Sudan once again after fighting broke out over the week in the capital city of Khartoum. As the military-led government has voiced support for a transition to civilian rule, it appears as though the commander of a major paramilitary group, the RSF, doesn’t like that idea. Essentially, observers are suggesting that the rivalry between Sudan’s military head and the RSF’s commander is what’s behind the fighting as both men appear to have clashing vision’s for what the future of Sudan’s political order will be.
The fighting, so far, has been mostly focused in Khartoum leaving hundreds dead, thousands fleeing, and those that remain running short on necessities like food and water. Multiple ceasefires have been attempted and fallen apart, so at the moment it appears as though this could get worse before it gets better.
